Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 2026
At Food1st.org, your privacy, as well as the privacy of those we serve, is paramount. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect information essential to our mission of providing real-time hunger relief.
- Donors: Name, email address, and payment information (processed securely through third-party gateways). We use your email solely to send your unique "Kit ID" receipt and impact updates.
- Volunteers: Name, contact details, and location data *only* while actively utilizing the Volunteer Delivery App.
- Recipients: We collect zero personally identifiable information from the neighbors we serve. We log general, non-specific location data strictly for transparency tracking.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used to facilitate donations, coordinate volunteer logistics, and power our Live Impact Map.
The Live Impact Map
To ensure the safety and dignity of the individuals receiving 24-Hour Packs, all delivery coordinates plotted on our public Live Map are intentionally blurred by a random offset of up to 500 meters. We never broadcast exact, real-time locations of vulnerable populations.
3. Information Sharing
Food1st.org will never sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties. We may share necessary data with trusted service providers strictly to perform operational functions (e.g., payment processing) under strict confidentiality agreements.
